Most B58 cars run the ZF 8-speed automatic, which handles tuned power well with a transmission tune (xHP or the tune's own TCU maps) and fresh fluid. Manual cars, the 6-speed M240i, 340i and the 2023+ Supra manual, hit the clutch limit first once the car is tuned.

Clutch kits step up in clamping force: organic sprung discs for street cars, ceramic and puck discs for drag and big-power builds, and twin-disc kits past that. Pick one rated above your target torque with some margin.
