Reinzosil is Victor Reinz's silicone sealant for oil pans, covers and flanges. It's the sealant OE gasket makers sell for the job, and it won't harm the sensors downstream.
What you get
- One 70 ml tube (Victor Reinz 70-31414-10).
- Rated −50 °C to +250 °C continuous, and up to 320 °C for short periods.
- Sensor safe: it cures neutral and gives off no gas, so it doesn't affect oxygen or other sensors.
Good to know
- It resists engine oil, fuel, water and coolant.
- A skin forms in 5–12 minutes, so fit the part promptly. A full cure takes about 100 hours.
