VTT S58 / B58TU Crankcase Vacuum Pump Kit If you're building a serious S58, or B58TU , crankcase pressure is one of the biggest hidden enemies of engine performance. Excess crankcase pressure reduces ring seal, increases blow-by, contaminates engine oil, and costs horsepower. The goal of any properly designed vacuum pump system is to maintain consistent crankcase (pan) vacuum throughout the RPM range, allowing the engine to operate more efficiently under high boost and extreme engine speeds.
