ATE SL.6 is a low-viscosity DOT 4 brake fluid. It stays thin in the cold, which ATE says suits cars with ABS and stability control, like every B58 and S58.
What you get
- One 1 liter can of ATE SL.6 (ATE 706402).
- Dry boiling point of at least 265 °C (509 °F), wet at least 175 °C (347 °F).
- Meets SAE J1704, FMVSS 116 DOT 4 and ISO 4925 Class 6.
Good to know
- One liter is usually enough for a flush; buy two if you also bleed the clutch on a manual car.
- Brake fluid absorbs water over time, which lowers its boiling point. That's why BMW calls for regular brake fluid changes.
