ATE TYP 200 is ATE's racing-quality DOT 4 fluid, with a higher boiling point than standard fluid. It's the step up for track days, where hard braking heats the fluid.
What you get
- One 1 liter can of ATE TYP 200 (ATE 706202).
- Dry boiling point of at least 280 °C (536 °F), wet at least 198 °C (388 °F).
- Meets SAE J1704, FMVSS 116 DOT 4 and ISO 4925 Class 4.
Good to know
- It's thicker in the cold than ATE SL.6. For a street car that never sees the track, SL.6 is the closer match to BMW's spec.
- Flush it more often on a track car; the extra boiling margin shrinks as the fluid picks up water.
